INTRODUCTION
The GM-237 Speed Sensor is a four way speed switch unit intended for standby alternators, generators, and Pumps. It is housed in a Painted Die Cast Aluminium sealed enclosure, IP-65 rating. Terminal connections are made via two 10-way screw terminals. The GM-237 provides monitoring of four independent engine speeds. The GM-237 has an LCD Display for indicating the Current Engine RPM, Switch 1, 2, 3, and 4 settings. The following settings can be adjusted using the Keypad:
• Switch 1 • Switch 2 • Switch 3 • Switch 4 • Number Of Teeth on the Flywheel • Tachometer Maximum RPM • Switch Reset Level |
Each Switch is programmable for: Switching RPM, Relay Logic, and Switch Latching.
NOTE: These settings will not be lost in the event of Power Loss.
STANDARD RELAY LOGIC: Switches are DE-ENERGISED BELOW the set RPM level. The switch is ENERGISED ABOVE the set RPM level.
REVERSE RELAY LOGIC: Switches are ENERGISED BELOW the set RPM level. The switch is DE-ENERGISED ABOVE the set RPM level.
SWITCH LATCHING: When the RPM level is above the respective switch level, the switch is ENERGISED or DE-ENERGISED and only removed by a local OR remote reset.
SWITCH RESET LEVEL: Switches will reset once the RPM falls below the Reset Level % of the Switch RPM.
