GM150 DIN RAIL S.C.O. SPEED SWITCH

The GM-150 S.C.O. SPEED SWITCH is a panel mounted printed circuit board (PCB) assembly intended primarily for use as a sensor of starter motor cut out speed nominally 500 rpm on engines. The engine speed is determined by measuring the output frequency from a magnetic pickup mounted adjacent to the engine ring gear. When the engine rises above cranking speed an internal relay in the speed switch is energised. The operating point may be altered over a range by a screw driver adjusted potentiometer.

Signal Source: Magnetic pickup sensing ring gear or other suitable frequency source – may be paralleled with a govenor.
Speed settings: Screwdriver adjusted potentiometer (factory preset – 1000Hz)

Relay Contacts: Single changeover, 8A resistive loading, 4A inductive. Diode suppression of transients is recommended. This contact should interupt pilot solenoid only.
