INTRODUCTION
The GM-011 LATCHING SPEED SWITCH is a printed circuit board assembly intended to function primarily as an overspeed detector on Diesel prime movers. The engine speed is determined by measuring the output frequency from a magnetic pickup mounted adjacent to the engine ring gear. Should the engine go into overspeed, an internal self-locking relay is immediately energised. De-energisation can not take place until the supply voltage to the switch is interrupted. Alteration of the operating set point is accomplished through a screw driver adjusted potentiometer. Designed for panel mounting.
