INTRODUCTION
The Phase Failure relay detects low voltage on one or more phases on a three phase supply. Set pointswitching level is the same for both symmetrical and assymetrical undervoltage conditions.
Two solid state switching circuits are provided. One “closes” instantaneously upon mains failure and “opens” instantaneously on mains return. The second circuit is similar but with seperate adjustable delays on mains failure and return. Polarity must be observed on connections to these circuits.
This module is not suitable for operation where transient voltage dips resultin voltage at the input terminals falling below 10 volts for 12V modules or 16 volts for 24 V modules. These transient dips are usually severe when a common battery supply is used for both the control logic circuits and the prime mover cranking motor. Sperate control batteries are recommended.
RELATED EQUIPMENT
The phase failure relay is used in conjunction with the auto start module DE006 and engine protection module DE004 to provide a complete auto start system.
